What does W2 mean?
... Italian boots, envisioned, designed and developed in Italy.
WIND TRADING introduced in 1985 its first collection of boots under the brand WIND.
The collection was represented just by a couple of off-road models, complementing in those days popular program of WIND RACEWARE apparel.
Few years later more boot models for street and touring riders were introduced to the WIND boots collection.
WIND RACEWARE was a strong off-road brand back then, which meanwhile was limiting the sales of street and touring boots: refreshing the image was a mandatory move to make, introducing a brand that was going to be accepted by all motorcycle market segments.
This is the reason why a staff of technical footwear experts, along with orthopedic specialists, created the W2 brand and launched it on the world market back in 2003.
September 17th - Paul Ricard circuit, France - Bol d’Or 2017
The prestigious Endurance World Championship saw last weekend the debut of Yonny Hernandez in the 3-man Honda Endurance Racing team, for the historical 24- hours Bol d’Or.
Hernandez, as a EWC rookie, impressed both the team and his team-mates with his fast learning of the circuit and speed, to battle with the experienced endurance field during his stints aboard the CBR.
Looking strong and running in second place, with 578 laps completed, the Honda team had to make an unscheduled stop due to an electrical problem, which reoccurred a couple of times over the next few hours. With persistent hard work from the Honda crew the problems were eventually sorted and it was Hernandez who returned to the race and started to make up lost time.
After 673 laps completed and about 4.000 Km covered in 24 hours, Hernandez joined his Honda Endurance Racing team-mates on the third podium place.

October 16th, 2016 - Motegi, GP of Japan
QMMF Racing Team rider Julian Simon fought his way into the top ten and celebrated a good finish at the Grand Prix of Japan. Starting from 16th place on the grid, Simon recovered positions steadily, thanks to a special bike set-up for the Motegi circuit and a consistent race pace. In the end, Simon scored eighth place, a strong result that boosts the confidence of the rider and technicians ahead of the race on the ultra-fast Phillip Island circuit in Australia next weekend.

August 28th, 2016 - Brno – Czech Republic
Pull&Bear Aspar Team rider Yonny Hernández staged a good recovery from the back of the group to pick up points at Brno in the last MotoGP. The Colombian took his best result of the season with the eleventh place, after setting off slowly due to a problem with his engine mapping and a lack of power. Once the issue was solved, Yonny was able to move up from the twentieth position on lap nine to eleventh at the chequered flag.

July 30th, 2016 - Sachsenring, Germany
The Moto2 race of the last GP of Germany was marked by extremely tricky weather conditions, as the rain made the 29 laps at the Sachsenring a very tense affair.
The Spanish rider Julian Simon (QMMF Racing Team) celebrated a return to the podium for the first time since the Valencia GP in 2012 despite nursing an injured ankle.
Simon was within the top group of riders at the end of the race, taking advantage of fellow countrymen Rins’ crash. The Spaniard was almost in tears as he was interviewed after the race, elated to return to the podium after such a long time since his last.
